Be Happy.
Oh I'm as happy as a big sunflower
I laugh and dance and play
and as I frolic about the town
I laugh the day away.
Oh I'm as happy as a daffodil
I smile at the sun
and when I realize I've wasted a day
I say, twas a happy one.
Oh I'm as happy as a round red rose
I blush from head to toe
and when I get to the end of the day
still happiness I show.
Oh I'm as happy as a daisy white
and though I'm not so smart
I know that if you want "content"
Be happy! it's a start.
Oh I feel fine though some say I
should not feel so carefree
Well I'll stay merry until you show
a reason not to be!
And that's what I think about it!

What I Think
Here's WHAT I THINK about some things.
-That Algebra is wholly unnecessary unless you want to be an engineer (which I DON'T)
- Cantaloupe is also unnecessary
- Portabella (portubella) (Portubela) mushrooms taste like roast beef
- Kenzi is not doing the full College Package
- Echo is not the best pony ever
- Echo issa nut
- Seven kids is not too much to have another
- If I leave my birds are going back to their last owner because my siblings would kill them
- Lake water is more fun to swim in than pool water
- Dogs have too many fleas
- It is not Marcus's fault he has founder
- Pancakes taste better if you use several different kinds of flour
- Cooking is not hard if you know about it
- Barnes and Noble is the best store
- If the best store is not Half Price Books
- Sleeping late is not worth it
- Writing is fun if you can write what you want
- Flowers are good
- I cannot garden
- Baseball is fun
- Climbing trees is good
- Ticks ARE NOT
- Mounted Games is the best sport
- It is too much trouble to have an E-mail address
- My four year old brother is too young to drive a tractor
- I don't want to watch the Man In The Moon
- I can't write everything here
- The best way to take medicine is to take it in one gulp
- Viva La Vida is a great song
- I have to stop
- This post is too long.

My SUCCESSFUL Garden
Hiya, Folks!
My garden actually grew! I have lettuce that looks delectable, and carrots, which I am afraid to mention I cannot see. I have not pulled them up yet, but I will soon. And you believed brilliant me to be incapable of growing anything. :^)
Look, I have found some pictures of pure beauty. Here they are.
That is beautiful, you must admit.
These are two different pictures, she was just doing so beautifully that you can hardly tell them apart.
Another beautiful picture.
My sister has got a dress rehearsal for a ballet recital today.
The below is last year's recital costume, complete with a crown which she isn't wearing in the picture.
Good- bye

Knaves and Hay
Hiya, it's great and glorious me again.
Today I watched a whole bunch of soccer games because I'm supposed to be learning all the rules of soccer since I'm going to be a referee and I'm hoping not to look like a complete imbecile. Whether or not I actually will pick the rules up is debatable.
Right behind me Heidi is practicing a jazz dance that really I don't understand but maybe I would understand if she had her costume on and she really was holding the thing that she is supposed to be holding. If she did have those things irrefutably it would be unambiguous and superb.
Our horse is happy, but a board fell out of the barn ceiling. So my dad went out (with plenty of help, of course) to fix it. The other children enjoyed playing in the hay.

See, Ellie's happy, Mary's happy- and one can't be sure what Burt happens to be doing, at least he looks happy too. But who can tell? Perhaps he just wants to jump off the pile and then devour as much hay as possible. I can see him doing that, and I wish he would. Ha- ha, just kidding, I can see me doing that too.
Oh one of my new favorite words is dastardly rogue. Or knave, which works too. Those mean sort of the same thing as a churl. In case you wish to know.
And now I must skedaddle. So TTFN, Ta-Ta For Now.
Signed, Miss Me Myself.
P.S. I Might Return Tomorrow.

Astounding Utterances
Howdy, it's Me.
Okay some people think that having a bunch of siblings must be kinda crazy and I won't deny it! It is! But it's really fun and it's awesome for people who don't like to be alone.
This is my siblings not including Heidi or the baby. |
There's almost always somebody who has nothing better to do than goof off. And big sister tip: learn to babysit! If you've got a bunch of siblings, it's a great way to earn money. And really seven kids isn't that much as some people.
Does anybody ever just randomly look up words to astound people with? My new favorite word:
pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis.
No joke that is a word and it's a kind of lung disease. It's great because when you hear someone cough you can just be like, "Oh I hope you don't have pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis." and wait for them to go, "What?" I got it off this computer's dictionary. By the way that is the astounding utterance.
So if you've got a bunch of crazy sibs after you finish school you can write a book (which I am), read (which I do), read more (which I do), ride (which I do), or be kooky (which they do, and yup ya got me I do it too).
So today my sister (not Heidi, Old Ellerkins today) has riding and sometimes I watch just to see her fall. Ha-ha, no, just joking, I'm not quite that mean. Almost, though.
Heidi says that somebody named Anna Faith had a birthday? I have no idea who you are but happy birthday regardless. And my sister just turned six on the first.
Isn't she cute? No, just kidding the below picture is the six year old.
Mary loves her birthday present. Heidi says soon she wants to put a video on here, and I'd like to see her try. :^) Just kidding she probably can but me being totally ignorant of computers I have no idea how.
Toodle-oo,
Myself Which Is Clara.

It's Freezing Out!
Today is what, 18 degrees? It's cold enough to completely freeze my horse's water, anyway. Four kettles of boiling water and me with a hoe were not enough to even partially break the ice on her water trough. At that point, I figured that enough water had been poured on top that she could drink that, and I gave up.
Tomorrow it will be Heidi's turn to break the ice and we'll see how she manages, ha-ha. This is one of the only times I have wished that I lived in South America, but perhaps un-frozen water would not be worth that. Oh well.
The above picture is me aggravating Heidi when she was trying to take a good picture of me. ;-)
I have decided that this year I will attempt to grow flowers. Last year I tried vegetables but that did not work. Sometimes the below picture is all I can grow. Beautiful, and I didn't even touch it which is probably why it is alive.
Heidi does not think I will be able to grow anything; probably she is right but it will be fun to try. My main problem will be all the deer. Last year they ate my garden and if they do it this year I think maybe I'll go out and butcher them.
Anyways, Happy Spring, when it comes.

(picture taken a few weeks ago; it's not snowy now, just cold)
